Celebrate National Cream Tea Day

National Cream Tea Day is a brilliantly British tradition, celebrated widely across the country on the last Friday of every June each year. As a nation, we have got a lot of catching up to do, and so as the time comes to swap FaceTime for some face-to-face time, Fortnum & Mason are delighted to re-open The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon from Saturday 4th July, in line with current government advice and with a range of new safety measures in place.

To mark this momentous occasion, for the first time ever, Fortnum & Mason have championed a celebratory message of Together for Tea: book a table and dine in July, and for every Fortnum’s Classic Afternoon Tea, we will serve another one, for free, to a friend or family member in your group.

The award-winning restaurant is re-opening its doors with an exciting offer that’s bound to bring back the joy of togetherness. For all the missed birthdays, passing anniversaries and muted celebrations, there is nothing quite like the joy of extraordinary teas, freshly baked scones and cakes a plenty, served by a ‘Tearista’ in the beautiful surroundings of Fortnum’s to help make up for the lost time.

“We wanted to give our guests an opportunity to reconnect and reunite once again and we know from experience that so many memories are created over Afternoon Tea. We’re so thrilled to be welcoming people to come and make memories with us once again and have worked tirelessly to ensure that, although new safety measures are in place, the atmosphere diners know and love remains the same.”- Zia Zareem-Slade, Customer Experience Director, Fortnum & Mason
