CYCLING ALONG THE MEKONG

Adventure travel specialist Explore reports a surge in demand for cycling tours. The company’s programme includes the ‘easy’ graded, 13-day Mekong Delta And Angkor Tour in Vietnam and Cambodia.

The itinerary includes Ho Chi Minh City and cycling along the Mekong Delta to explore Angkor Wat, Cambodia. The next tour departs in December and costs £2,479 per person. The price includes Šflights, 12 nights’ hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, three other meals, bike hire, transport and the services of a tour leader, cycle guide, local guides and driver.

ROAD BIKING IN MAJORCA

Headwater has launched gentle self-guided cycling holidays around southern Spain’s Sherry Triangle, from £1,078 per person for seven nights with flights from Heathrow to Jerez (via Madrid). Starting and ending in the Moorish city of Jerez, highlights include Arcos de la Frontera, reputedly Spain’s most beautiful town, hilltop Medina Sidonia and coastal Cádiz.
