Classic evening makeup
I always, always exfoliate with 'Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub' by LUSH. The sea salt and coconut and lime leave my skin feeling so clean and soft, the perfect canvas to blend my foundation onto seamlessly.
I've been using a moisturizer from Simple just because I feel like it's not filled with chemicals and it leaves my skin soft after I've scrubbed it with the ocean salt. I'm still loving the combo of my Nars Sheer Glow with my Mac Pro-Longwear concealer – I don't think I'll ever switch foundations but I am on the hunt for a concealer with a thinner consistency. I set everything and then do my brows, contour, blush and highlighter as usual.
I always make sure I prime my eyes because it's not a myth, it's the one thing about the thousands of beauty gimmicks we've bought into that actually works. I set my primer with a skin coloured eye-shadow, and then apply a brown into the crease so I can see easily where I want to apply my darker colours later.

I then go over the lid with a mid-tone matte brown to darken the whole lid before I add anything more intense. I chose a maroon colour for under the eyes, I have small eyes so too much black can make me look like an un-cute version of a panda.
Glittery black eye shadow has made a great comeback into my life. I apply it slowly and build, starting at the outer V of my eye and working the colour onto the lid so it's not too harsh, and blend out into the brown I put into the crease to begin with. I used a liquid eyeliner with this look and created a small wing, and then used a few layers of mascara and even some fake lashes.
I used all MAC eye shadows for this look from their pre-made 12-shade 'warm neutral' palette.
