Watermelon smoothie

food-590-4

1 knob ginger
2 cups chopped watermelon, rind removed
2 cups ice (optional)

Peel and remove the pith from the lime. Peel the ginger. Add all the ingredients to the blender. Blend and enjoy!

Calming rose smoothie

food-590-3

Ingredients
1 banana, fresh or preferably frozen
½ cup strawberries, fresh or preferably frozen
½ cup coconut milk (see recipe below)
½ cup coconut or filtered water
¼ teaspoon rose water
Edible flowers for topping

Coconut milk
4 cups filtered water
2 cups shredded coconut
Nut milk bag

Method
Heat the water until almost boiling. Place the coconut and heated water into the blender. Blend on high until smooth. Strain the coconut milk through the nut milk bag and then transfer to an airtight container (I suggest mason jars). Refrigerate and use within three days. Shake well before using.

Peel the banana and cut in half. Hull the strawberries. Add the banana, strawberries, coconut milk, coconut or filtered water and rose water to a blender. Blend. Pour into a glass and top with the gorgeous edible flowers.

Mandarin strawberry juice

food-590-2

Ingredients
3 mandarins
5 strawberries
1 lime

Method
Remove the peel from the mandarins and break in half. Hull the strawberries. Feed the mandarins and strawberries through the juicer. Pour into a glass. Using your citrus reamer, squeeze the lime directly into your juice. Serve immediately.
