Exclusive: André Rieu

Watch André Rieu’s new music video (the first one in years!) for the track, Mio Angelo, from his forthcoming album Roman Holiday which is released on 13th November.
Andre-Rieu-176-2André Rieu's Mio Angelo from his new album, Roman Holiday, is a truly beautiful and romantic song, composed by André. His wife Marjorie wrote the lyrics on occasion of a very special wedding, which took place this year in August...

André's Australian star soprano Mirusia fell in love with Youri, a member of André's staff at the King's Coronation in Amsterdam. They got married in real life in August 2015. The video for 'Mio Angelo' is based on this love story and shows a romantic wedding, featuring the Johann Strauss Orchestra, the Platin Tenors as best men and André as the bride's father in a romantic scenery that will doubtlessly touch hearts worldwide.

Over the years 13 couples have found themselves in André's team, his big "Johann Strauss Family". Proving that work and love can be balanced perfectly well if you are surrounded by this romantic music every day!

After the success of his 2014 album Love in Venice, Rieu returns to romantic Italy with his new album Roman Holiday – released on Decca Records on 13th November.

Rome is the perfect setting for his new album - not only is it a dream destination for people around the world, but also the city where he and his wife Marjorie love to get away to. It's their very own romantic Shangri-La, full of culture, music, politics and antiques. The album features well-loved favourites such as Arrivederci Roma, the theme from Cavalleria Rusticana and Ennio Morricone's Gabriel's Oboe, alongside beautiful music from two of the world's most treasured Italian operas, Verdi's La Traviata and Puccini's Madame Butterfly.

Roman Holiday comes with a DVD for fans to, once again, bring a touch of Rieu magic into their own living rooms.

Mio Angelo is available on André's new album, Roman Holiday, which is out on Decca on 13 November and available to pre order now: http://po.st/ARRHMioAFBAm
