Why: Nestled in an elegant square in the heart of the City, Devonshire Club is a private members club that seamlessly combines high-end style and exclusive luxury with an innovative food and drink offering and an exciting and insightful programme of entertainment and events. Boasting beautifully appointed bedrooms, stunning interiors and stylish spaces for meeting, drinking, socialising and dining, the Club’s talented in-house team and changing cultural calendar make it the perfect location for those in London who naturally mix business with pleasure. The ground floor Champagne Bar greets guests and members as they enter the Club and has an atmosphere as bright and effervescent as the wide array of sparkling wines it serves. On Sunday's they have now introduced a Champagne brunch for £60, and the outside terrace is the perfect spot for some al fresco dining.
The Menu:
Headed up Executive Chef Adam Gray, of Four Seasons Park Lane, Rhodes Twenty- Four and B&H Buildings fame, the substantial menu includes everything from brunch classics, egg variations, starters and salads, hearty mains and even a roast trolley- delicious! Gray's menu is a reflection of honest, good quality modern British gastronomy, set at a very reasonable price of £25 for two courses, £30 for three courses with the option of free-flowing Prosecco at an additional cost of £15 and free flowing Champagne for £30. Examples include: Drop scones, streaky bacon and Maple syrup,Natural yoghurt and berries, crushed Avocado and Poached egg on sourdough toast, Burata, burnt ruby and grapefruit salad, Duck hash, Beef short rib, Truffle macaroni and Chocolate and pecan nut brownie.
Highlight:
The drop scones with berries and natural yoghurt are an absolute winner- be extra indulgent and add maple syrup which as a combination tastes utterly divine!
