Deep in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, treasure hunter Ali Orr is seeking out the best second-hand cashmere from across the globe and bringing it back to her Yorkshire Dales home of Masham; all to allow thousands to enjoy this luxuriously soft fabric at a fraction of the usual cost. 

QUITE A FIND

Ali, a seasoned second-hand shopper herself, founded Nearly New Cashmere out of her dislike for waste. Whilst bringing up her four children, she took to eBay to sell the family’s unwanted pieces and it was then that she realised the cashmere she listed “flew off the shelves” first! After some research, Ali discovered a source of discarded cashmere knitwear, and this was when Nearly New Cashmere Co was born. 

A COMMUNITY AFFAIR

Six years on, Ali and her team of skilled women in the community recondition each individual piece by hand, all with the end goal of making it ready for its new home. Each item is washed, meticulously checked for damage and if necessary, discretely repaired.

BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED

The result? Beautifully reconditioned womenswear, menswear and childrenswear available at a snip of the price of brand-new cashmere.

TRADE-IN YOUR CASHMERE

They welcome all 100% cashmere with open arms. For pieces that can be reconditioned and resold in one piece you will receive a £10 voucher to use on the rest of their collection. For pieces that need to be made into something else, you will receive a £5 voucher. Vouchers can be spent online or in their Yorkshire Dales shop in Masham.
