101 Dalmatians

As 101 Dalmatians celebrates it's 55th anniversary in the UK, say hello to the new Pongo and Perdy
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the classic 101 Dalmatians in the UK. In celebration the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane has found their own modern day Pongo and Perdy to be the official mascots.

The brief for the completion was 'show how your dog likes to travel' and the new mascots were the perfect pair.

Dalmatians three year old Domino from Thetford, Suffolk and 9 month old Lulu from Leeds, were the winning pooches out of 400 entries from around the world. The winning pair even starred in their very own photoshoot.

Bouncy and playful dog Domino is a registered therapy dog and volunteers with children whose parents are members of the armed forces. A lover of swimming, he lives with four old male Labrador Retriever named Taos and they are the best of friends.

Lively Lulu is happing playing fetch in the park or snuggling on the sofa. A real foodie, her favourite treats are ice-cream and ice-lollies. Lulu is always happy to meet new people, so much so that she smiles. Lulu is such a popular pooch she even has her own Instagram, @lulu.dalmation.

The Art Deco hotel being located opposite Green Park on Piccadilly, where much of the film was set, they have also launched a Dalmatian-inspired Afternoon Tea & dog-friendly package.

Inspired by Pongo and Perdy, the tea is perfect for humans and pooches; owners can enjoy a delicious tea whilst while their furry friend is being walked around the original movie set, across the road in Green Park (only for guest who are also staying the night, as part of the Dotty Dalmatian Package). Dogs are also welcome to stay (with their owners of course) in the newly refurbed guest rooms.

The new tea and Dotty Dalmatian Package is available until 31st August. Tea starts from £37 per person. A room as part of the new package (based on two people and one dog sharing a room) starts from £292. www.sheratonparklane.com
