Ruff and Tumble launch Cooling Coat

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH RUFF AND TUMBLE

Award Winning Ruff and Tumble
launch NEW Cooling Coat for dogs

Ruff and Tumble's vision is about making life with dogs easier and better. Loving being outside with their mud magnets inspired Ruff and Tumble to create its award-winning Drying Coat for dogs to cope with the consequences of enjoying the outdoors: the wet and the mud. This vision has now led the company to launch a new dog Cooling Coat because it helps with another problem when having fun outside: the heat.

Cooling Coats are not just for heatwaves…

The truth is that although many of us only think of Cooling Coats when there is a summer heatwave, it can get unexpectedly warm on spring and autumn days in the UK. And just like you pack a Drying Coat ‘because the dog could get wet’, you can now pack a Cooling Coat ‘because the dog could get warm’, and dogs don’t like being too warm.

How the Cooling Coat technology works to cool your dog

Simple to use, the Ruff and Tumble cooling gear's active water-cooling power keeps your dog cool throughout the day. Soak the cool coat in cold water, wring it out, clip it securely on and the dog will be kept cooler. Using an evaporative cooling effect, three layers work together for efficient cooling.

With the highest rating of UPF 50+, the outer silver layer deflects the sun's rays

The middle layer holds cool water in a reservoir section. Heat activates the cooling power of the water, mocking 'sweating' which then keeps the dog cool as it evaporates.

The inner comfy mesh layer acts as a membrane, retaining the water in the middle layer and cooling the dog without wetting it.

Clips and the 'through the legs' design hold the cool coat firmly in place. For continuous cooling, ensure that the central layer is always ‘charged’ and full of water. We cannot stress enough that the Ruff and Tumble Cooling Coat must be checked regularly so that the central layer never dries out, especially on hotter than normal days

Cooling Coats let you keep cool and carry on!

A Cooling Coat is something you would pack, with water to charge it, on a normal warm day when you are out and about with your dog. You would use it on a car journey, in the shade, the house, out with friends, when it is warmer than normal, or when you think your dog could be at risk of becoming too warm. Active dogs and owners welcome Cooling Coats as a way of keeping dogs cool when exercising – not on very hot days of course – but when it is sensible to do so, and they could become too warm to be happy and comfortable.
