Sexy Fish is a luxury Asian restaurant in the heart of Berkley Square, Mayfair. The opulent establishment, adorned with expensive art from the likes of Damien Hirst and Frank Gehry, is famed for its robata-grilled fish, raw-bar items and extensive cocktail menu. Sexy Fish has recently launched their Sunday 'Sexy Brunch' series, complete with a new brunch menu and cocktail list alongside world class DJs playing sets while you dine.

The brunch will only be available throughout May and June from 11.30am to 4.30pm, and it's not one to miss. Every week, different VIP guests and DJs will feature at the restaurant such as Nick Grimshaw, Ooh La La and Jodie Harsh. I attended the launch of the series on May 7 and mingled with the likes of Suki Waterhouse and Jack Whitehall-the restaurant is certainly a 'see and be seen' hotspot in London.
The atmosphere of the restaurant, bustling with patrons, wait staff and bartenders almost feels like an exclusive party catered by world class chefs. Starting brunch with a Sexy Fizz cocktail, I was keen to delve into the menu inspired by the seas of Asia. I opted for a menu highlight: Sexy Fish Benedict served on a black charcoal muffin with lobster and truffle, accompanied by rock shrimp with Sancho and yuzu dip, wagyu gyoza with foie gras and black truffle, and sweet potato with bacon and miso.

The plates were created with total artistry-every last truffle or garnish was placed on the plate tactically. Its attention to detail that make the dishes look, and ultimately taste, fantastic. The rich eggs, lobster and truffle complimented each other wonderfully, while the sweet potato was simple, spicy and tastefully subtle. With the black truffle theme running, my guest and I also ordered the king crab with bone marrow and truffle, another show-stopping highlight of the Sexy Fish menu. Although hesitant to try marrow, it was a clear winner of the afternoon and I couldn't recommend anything more from the menu.
My guest and I finished the meal sharing the vanilla cheesecake with Griotte cherries, sprinkled with gold leaf. Smooth, creamy and sumptuous, it was a 'sexy' finish to a great afternoon.
Nick Grimshaw will be DJ'ing the next Sexy Brunch this Sunday, 21st May. Book your reservation at www.sexyfish.com
