WHAT: Enrico Robusti Vice "Food, Sex &irony in Italy" Exhibition. The artist Enrico Robusti can be considered to portay "Lifes pleasures and human vice in his paintings." Ransom Art Gallery will be exhibiting the work which combines "Francis Bacon's power, the cruel sensuality of Lucans Freud's bodies, Otto Dix's comic strip characters, Brueghel's impeccable technique Bosh's visionary imagination and the distortion of traditional Italian Renais¬sance perspective; Robusti is a puppeteer, merging human comedy with a sarcastic realism in his art." WHAT: Nick Bibby, Leading Animalier Sculptor, New Works At Sladmore Contemporary. This will be the largest exhibition of Nick Bibby's work who is globally recognised and has attracted collectors such as, J.K. Rowling and Damien Hurst. Bibby is known for creating sculptures of "animals' habits anatomy and form." From the forty eight pieces on view which vary from a field mouse to a life-size "Apollo torso" the "bust taken from 'indomitable' 15ft Kodiak bear could surely become the highlight.

WHAT: Garsington Opera. Performances take place in the Garsington Opera pavillion which is situated in the picturesque landscape of the Chiltern Hills. The 25th anniversary show opens with Beethoven's Fidelio. Features of the show include the British premiere of Offenbach's Vert-Vert and Janacek's 20th century masterpiece The Cunning Little Vixen. To celebrate the First World War Centenary Peace in Our in Our Time. WHAT: A 70TH Anniversary D-Day Blitz Party Special. The event will celebrate the D-day Normandy landings and pays respect to the UK's finest. The Blitz party operates a strict Dress Code – 1940s glam, home front utility clothing and allied uniform all welcome. Bunker Opens at 8pm, Floor shows & entertainment from 9pm. There will be cocktails, and music reflecting the glamour of 1940's London. The Air raid shelter will be decorated with sand bags, black out curtains, military bunk beds and old fashioned oil lamps to set the atmosphere of wartime London. Guests will enjoy swing music in the dance hall with live music from two stages, the Red Roosters will be playing big band tunes and DJs. Natty Congeroo will have all the guests inching to dance. There will also be another room which will show war time films and project original newsreels. Lady's can visit the beauty parlour to extenuate their 1940's appearance before having a photograph taken with their sweetheart in one of the traditional photo booths.
