Reviv IV DRIP at Harvey Nichols

It’s that time of the year. The summer is almost over, the cold autumn days are about to set in and if you’ve had a busy work and social diary throughout the warm months you may be feeling like you need an energy boost. In my case I have not stopped for the last few months and when I heard about Reviv, the leading global wellness provider of signature IV nutrient therapies and booster shots, I thought I would give it a shot (no pun intended I promise!)

REVIV’s proprietary IV infusion therapies target a variety of wellness needs by replenishing hydration, aiding recovery from illness or jet lag, restoring vitamin & nutrient levels, refreshing cosmetic appearance and revitalizing your overall well being. Popular with the likes of Madonna and Alexandra Burke (who apparently had them frequently on her time on Strictly Come Dancing) they aim to give you a shortcut to energy and freshness.

On arriving at Harvey Nichols beauty spa I am whisked into a calming white room with a bed and refreshments to meet the Reviv team. I am not a huge fan of needles (who is?) and it does involve a cannula in the arm but lo and behold the assistant who does it is seamless! We then have a discussion about how needle insertion is a bit of an art form and I was very happy to say I didn’t feel any pain.

I went for the Vitaglow Anti-Aging IV therapy which contains a high dose of the master antioxidant Glutathione as well as Vitamin C to help detoxify the body from damaging free radicals and improve the appearance of hair, skin and nails. They explained the aging process is inevitable and associated with various metabolic changes like declining Glutathione levels your body. Glutathione acts as the master antioxidant which detoxifies your body and promotes cellular repair.

Did I also want an energised B12 shot too? Well, I think I needed it to be honest! B12 gives a pure boost of energy whilst the Vitaglow helps restores hydration, prevent and reverse effects of free radicals, rejuvenates skin, hair and nails, detoxifies vital organs and delivers the high dose of glutathione and vitamin C. The drip took a total of 25 minutes (good if you’re on your lunch break) whilst the location is also handy, being in the hub of Knightsbridge with all the popular London shopping destinations right on your doorstep.

I asked Reviv what kind of customers they treat. They explained they have a real mixture from people wanting to get rid of their jet lag to beauty enthusiasts who want great skin to the odd very hung-over person who’s feeling pretty awful and needs a perk up! Other treatments include the Royal Flush (for if your feeling ill), Hydromax (for more sporty types) and Megaboost (for overall health and wellness).

Some people may think just taking vitamin supplements cuts it but I was informed that the body only absorbs a certain percentage of these and it often goes straight to the vital organs with the skin and hair being the last place it goes- that being the preferred place I want it to go to! That’s why IV drips give a higher concentration faster which is why they have become so popular in recent times.

Later in the week I was complimented by a friend that I looked ‘good.’ This is not common, especially as I’ve been quite tired lately and was wearing zero makeup! I also felt my ability to focus was enhanced whilst I felt ready to face the world with a more energized and fresh approach!
