Win! A free place at Academic Summer Camp

Academic Summer offers short courses during the holidays that any child is bound to enjoy - and you can WIN a free place!

Do your children get bored over the summer holidays? Do you struggle to entertain them or to think of things to do when you are not actually on holiday? Do you worry about them ‘losing’ some of their learning over the long summer break and are you concerned that it will take weeks for them to settle back into a school routine?

There is another way. With Academic Summer (also known as Academic Camp), your children will not only be entertained, they will learn, make contacts and progress towards their future goals by being part of our unique, tried-and-tested summer academic learning programme.

Right: Helen Lami, chief executive of Academic Camp, Academic Summer offers a wide range of fun activities.
Academic Summer was created in 2008 by Helen Lami, who recognised the lack of educational holiday programmes that offered immersive, real-life learning alongside other young people from across the world, using innovative Content and Language Integrated Learning methodology.

Since then Helen and her team have helped thousands of young people work towards their goals, which have included getting into top universities, accessing graduate apprenticeships and securing places at drama schools. The company is now an established independent educational organisation, and is recognised by the British Accreditation Council.

‘Our themed camps are all about fostering teamwork and exploring cultural differences in a vibrant and fun-filled setting,’ says Helen. ‘We have children who come from all over the world to experience our programme and to develop their spirit and character in a fun, educational setting with new friends who all bring something different to the academic table.’

Academic Summer’s London camps are held at DLD College in Westminster, David Game College in the City of London, Sidcot School outside Bristol and Queen’s College in Taunton, Somerset

Academic Summer is offering one child a free two-week residential placement this summer worth more than £3,000. The winning child can choose between attending the programme at Sidcot School, near Bristol, from 4-18 August or at DLD College in Westminster from 28 July-11 August. This is a boarding placement and includes accommodation, food, tuition, activities and trips. The winning child needs to arrive directly at their chosen venue between 3pm and 5pm and depart before 11am on the final Sunday.
