Q I would like to have one of my own images printed on bedroom blinds. I have found plenty of companies that will print my photos on to bags but can’t find a place that will print them on to a blind. Can you help?
CH, via email

A Creatively Different Designer Blinds offers a very high standard of workmanship and can print a customer’s images on to every kind of blind. It can also add decorative details, such as braid or a scalloped edge.

Q My washing machine has developed black mould on its rubber door seals. I don’t want to scrub it too hard because I feel I might damage it. How can I remove the mould and why has it appeared?
JJ, via email

A In our ecoconscious times, we wash at a lower temperature, using detergents with less bleach in them than before. These do not kill all bacteria, especially at low temperatures. There is no need to switch to powders that contain a lot of bleach. Once a month, put some soda crystals into the empty machine and run it on the hottest cycle. Failing that, pour distilled white vinegar into the soap tray while it’s filling for a hot wash. The vinegar will loosen the grime, which you can then scrub off with a toothbrush.

Q I am building an extension to my house and want to match the bricks. My builder has only found modern ones that just don’t blend. Where can I find some?
