Linje Tio, Stockholm’s go to for eclectic cocktail mixes, has been ranked amongst the World’s 50 Best Bars. Now you can sit back and enjoy a Scandinavian cocktail or two for the next 10 days as Linje Tio launches their pop up at London’s The Den at 100 Wardour St.
The Den- a cool, relaxed, modern-meets-classic extension of 100 Wardour Street, is the perfect place to host Linje Tio’s contemporary cocktail menu. My guest and I arrived choosing a spot in the corner of the room dimly lit with candles and reflections of the bright bar.
We were served canapes of arancini, sliders, crab and avocado parcels while we browsed the cocktail menu. We started with a Linje Tio staple-Beets By Tjoget: a coupette of beet-infused Absolut Vodka, coconut syrup, ginger, lemon, and nutmeg. A sweet drink with a sharp and almost spicy aftertaste (presumably from the ginger), the rest of the cocktails we sampled followed an eclectic suit. La Nuit, featuring cognac, sherry, orange and cinnamon bitters with capers provided a strong kick while the Salty Caramel- made up of Hennessy Fine de Cognac, Manzanilla sherry, amaro nonino, rock candy syrup and walnut bitters- was smooth, sweet and easy to sip.
Head to The Den from 31st January to 10th February to sample the Nordic coolness for yourself. Open daily from 5pm till late (Thursdays to Saturdays 6pm-3am), the venue also hosts live music. Just be careful not to sit too close to the back of the room if you don’t like the smell of cigars- the scent wafts in quite strong from the parlour next door!
