Autumn makeup favourites

For eyes in the autumn winged eyeliner is a staple, as in the summer I feel it is too heavy sometimes in the hot weather and can easily melt if you're not careful. For the perfect wing I recommend Chanel liquid eyeliner 'ligne de graphique de Chanel', at £26 it is quite expensive and definitely requires a steady hand. Once you get the hang of it I can guarantee you a perfect wing every time that will stay on all day in an intense black colour. For eyeshadow, it is easy to think gold, cranberry and mahogany are the most suitable colours, but contrary to this I recommend blue and purple this autumn. MAC pigment in 'blue-brown' will make any make-up look more interesting, because as the name suggests it shines blue or brown as the light hits. Pair it with MUA matte eyeshadow on the bottom lash-line in the colour 'Midnight', at only £1 you'd be a fool not to try it out. Use it with a good primer for the best colour payoff.
My last 'grail item' for this autumn is absolutely fool-proof, even the most makeup wary woman can nail it. My mum finds applying makeup really difficult but she is always stealing this from me. It's the ByTerry 'Color-Fix Cream Eye-shadow' in the shade 'Misty Rock' which is a shimmery lilac. Light in the daytime but buildable for a more intense evening look, simply apply it onto the lid right out of the bullet and use your finger to disperse the colour evenly. At £29 there is definitely cheaper alternatives but this formula looks very professional on the eyes and is no hassle to apply.
