No makeup, makeup

The no-makeup makeup look- minimal products, minimal time, and right on trend. Beauty blogger Lucy Chappell shows us how.
Kim Kardashian followed Alicia Keys in the new trend of going bare-faced this week at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week. Of course, they're both beautiful with 14550510 10154708434824432 2056846104 oor without make-up because of all that expensive face cream they're definitely using.

So I put my 'no-makeup-makeup' skills to the test to create this polished, minimal make-up look that'll take you 10 minutes to do at home.

Firstly I mixed my favourite moisturizer and my NARS Sheer Glow foundation to make it less thick and applied it evenly on my T Zone and centre of the face. I then blended it outwards onto my cheeks, jawline and neck.

Then I opted for my Rimmel Match Perfection concealer just to brighten under my eyes – use sparingly, and to cover any blemishes. Eyes are simple with a brown shadow in the crease and then a little mascara just on the top lashes.

I did my eyebrows as normal with the Benefit BrowZings eyebrow shaping kit and then brushed them through so they didn't look too harsh.

With a light hand, I did a small bit of contouring with my blush in 'Harmony' by MAC and a bright pink blush (I used 'Dollymix' by MAC) over the top on the apples of my cheeks. For lips because the rest of the face is quite bare, you can use any lip colour you like. I used MAC 'soar' lip-liner.

Tips –
To make your make-up look the most natural, it's better to add colour gradually and then blend, build and repeat. Don't load your brush with a load of colour that'll get everywhere.

Hold your make-up brushes at the end rather than near the hair to prevent yourself from creating harsh lines.
