What is the dress code for ladies?
There is no dress code for spectators at Cowes Week, except where applies at particular venues or events. Women therefore usually dress fairly casually in weatherproof clothing and deck shoes. Tuesday is Ladies' Day, which recognises female sailors, when women are encouraged to wear nautical navy-and-white stripes.

What is the dress code for gentlemen?
There is no dress code for spectators at Cowes Week, except where applies at particular venues or events. Men therefore usually dress fairly casually in weatherproof clothing and deck shoes.

How can ladies balance comfort with looking smart?
Spectators are not required to dress too formally at Cowes Week, but the usual rules of smart casual dress apply – jeans should be clean, neat and untorn, and deck shoes, pumps or flats are preferable to flip flops or overtly sporty trainers. For warmth, take a gilet, jumper or cardigan in case the weather takes a downturn.

How can gentlemen balance comfort with looking smart?

What is the dress code for the Royal Yacht Squadron?
