Making us smile today...
Marking 60 years of the company’s design heritage, Laura Ashley The Manor is nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside. A Tudor revival property standing on the site of an old house dating back to 1540 it is surrounded by 10 acres of natural woodland with landscaped gardens featuring classic English blooms.
Encompassing 49 elegant rooms and suites, each is individually designed using the current Laura Ashley Home collections.
I was there for the launch of the hotel - which Laura Ashley's design service spent a year creating. And am now wishing I could actually move in.
From the four-poster-bed bridal suite with views across London (on a sunny day you can even catch a glimpse of Canary Wharf - despite the fact you're in oh so green Elstree) to the Chess Board garden and glass chandeliers the hotel is a Laura Ashley showroom come to life.
You can't help but feel inspired to go home and decorate. I'm already wondering how the Josette dove grey print in the Belgravia deluxe room would look in my cottage bedroom...
